Who are we?
For those of you that don’t know who we are or what we do, please let us introduce ourselves: We are a group of parents, grandparents and carers who have children attending Fitzwilliam Primary School. The main aim of the group is to enhance the children’s experiences and at the same time have some fun. We do quite a lot of fundraising, mainly by organising raffles, tombola stalls and other events. The monies we raise go directly back to the children in many ways. For example we have recently been able to donate £900.00 to school funds. This money was raised mostly at the recent Christmas Fayre.
In 2016 we changed our name to Buddies, previously we were known as the Parent Council. We all thought that it sounded rather stuffy and didn’t really reflect the nature of the group.
We are always looking for new members to join the buddies’ team to lend a hand. It does not matter if you can only help a few hours a month, every little helps.
If you would like to join the team or would like to find out more about us, please contact reception and we will organise to meet you.
